Changement climatique et croissance économique au Sénégal : Une approche par le modèle à correction d’erreur
Mame Mor Sene

Abstract
This study assesses the impact of climate change on economic growth in Senegal, using an error-correction model. The data used come mainly from secondary sources such as the World Development Indicators (WDI) and the Climate Change Knowledge Portal (CCKP), covering the period from 1901 to 2021 with annual observations. The results reveal an immediate response of the Senegalese economy to variations in GDP, while the effects of rainfall and temperature on growth are shown to be evolutionary in the short and long term. Against this backdrop, economic policy recommendations are emerging, calling for economic diversification to reduce vulnerability to climate change, as well as measures to promote energy efficiency and sustainable development. These recommendations suggest a proactive approach to improving the country's resilience to climate challenges, while stimulating economic growth.
